11th Hour Summer Internships
We fund summer internships for current and recently graduated Journalism School graduate students. Our summer 2025 interns are as follows:

Reveal
Julia Haney
Julia Haney is an audio and print journalist reporting on education, health, and climate in the Bay Area. She will graduate from UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism in May before starting an internship at Reveal. Last summer, Julia was an 11th Hour summer intern at KALW, where she reported stories on endangered butterflies, honeybees, and more.

Richmondside Nosh
Skylla Mumana
Skylla Mumana is a print journalist and photographer residing in the Bay Area. Whether it's through a lens or a pen, her work aims to resonate. This summer, Mumana will be working with East Bay Nosh to cover the region’s vibrant culinary scene and highlight the stories, culture, and communities behind the food that defines the Bay Area.

Civil Eats
Riley Ramirez
Riley Ramirez is a multimedia journalist reporting on climate and environmental justice in the Bay Area. During her summer internship with Civil Eats, she plans to cover stories about the U.S. food system and its intersection with climate justice.
