I grew up in Kolkata, India, before moving to the U.S. in 2012. For the past five years, I have been based in Los Angeles, California, where I am a journalist and a student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. At Annenberg Media, I have served as the South Los Angeles editor, equity board leader, and investigative reporter. My work has been published in L.A. Public Press, Knock L.A., and L.A. TACO, among other outlets.

As a local reporter, I am committed to holding institutions accountable and keeping communities informed from the ground up. As a fellow, I aim to focus on complex stories that shed light on the lives and livelihoods dependent on reliable, district-level coverage.
