Susana Barron

I became a multimedia journalist because I believe that knowledge is power. As an Indigenous Mexican-American with deep roots in Zacatecas, Mexico, I have seen firsthand how journalism can empower people to make informed decisions that impact their lives and future generations. My background in short-form documentary filmmaking has prepared me to address critical issues such as farmworker rights and climate change.

Moving forward, I am dedicated to refining my skills and enhancing my understanding of how to report stories that drive meaningful, lasting change in underrepresented communities.
