I became a multimedia journalist to document the underrepresented stories of Angelenos who are often marginalized in the first lines of history: LGBTQ people and communities of color. I consider my profession as part of my civic duty as well—to hold those in power accountable and to help people make better decisions about their lives and well-being. I am a proud Cal State graduate and a life-long Angeleno who was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. I’ve written, photographed and filmed stories for the Los Angeles Times, Business Insider, The Guardian, NPR, Teen Vogue, Inside Climate News and more.
