A love of writing led me to journalism, but it’s my understanding of its significance to local communities that has kept me in the field. My reporting experience ranges from sports coverage to investigations into federal disaster response and recovery. My passion for journalism truly deepened while covering all aspects of local news in a rural community, from reporting on jail deaths to exploring quirky topics like the existence of Wyoming.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I began my career with a graduate degree from Arizona State’s journalism program. My work has appeared in The Washington Post, Seattle Times, Slate, Golfweek, and more.
