I was born in the Dominican Republic and spent most of my life in San Diego after being stationed there. I am a writer who began my journey into journalism with a news reporting fellowship at KYUK in Southwest Alaska, where I honed my skills in audio reporting.

My focus is on the environment, science, and investigative reporting. I chose journalism as a way to serve my community and uphold the values of accountability and integrity, a commitment that stems from my military background.
