I’m a first-generation, bilingual journalist from South Central Los Angeles. For me, being a journalist is both a privilege and a responsibility. I am dedicated to this work because I believe that information empowers marginalized communities.

In 2017, I launched Sur Central Times, a news blog focused on South Central LA, where I covered stories such as a tenant rent strike, a historic lawsuit, and a Black Trans Lives Matter rally. My reporting has been published in Golden Gate Xpress, El Tecolote, and CALÓ News.
