I first fell in love with journalism back in high school, when I discovered the power personal accounts have in influencing public opinion about controversial topics. I strived to do that when I covered breaking news in Las Vegas. I wrote about how staff, parents and teenagers experienced the fifth largest school district in the country and told stories about families who lost loved ones to extreme heat. I am originally from New York City and attended Middlebury College in Vermont, where I was the managing editor of our student newspaper, The Middlebury Campus.
